The famous Avenue of Stars is the most visited promenade in Hong Kong.

Choose the best accommodation overlooking Hong Kong

The 400-metre wide pedestrian walkway is carried over a bridge directly over the waters of the bay, offering spectacular views of Victoria Harbour and the skyline of skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island, on the opposite side of the strait.

The Avenue of Stars can be found in the Kowloon district of Tsim Sha Tsui.

Why is Avenue of Stars worth a visit?

From the south shore of Kowloon, where the Avenue of Stars is located, you have the best views of central Hong Kong with its skyscrapers and Victoria Peak.

The promenade was inspired by Hollywood's Walk of Fame and celebrates major figures in Hong Kong's theatre and film scene.

The Avenue of Stars is also one of the most popular places to watch the nightly "Symphony of Lights" light show, which we write about in detail in the Activities section.

Opening times and best times to visit

The Avenue of Stars is a normal public place and you can therefore walk along the walkway 24/7.

Entrance to the Avenue of Stars is free.

If you want to watch the light show from the Avenue of Stars, head here before 19:00. The show starts at 8pm, but the sidewalk is usually completely full about an hour before it starts.

Visit the walkway at any time during the day. Favorable lighting conditions for photos of the Hong Kong skyline are all day long.
