Tourist city pass for Paris

Paris

Paris offers many activities, visits to museums, galleries and monuments, and like any great tourist city, it also offers various discount cards. In Paris, you can choose from several different types from different companies, each offering a slightly different number of sights you can visit for free, some of which also offer free transportation around Paris and other activities like cruises on the Seine River.

The museums, galleries and sights that each card offers are already "free" or you won't pay any fee on the spot.

None of the cards below offer access to the Eiffel Tower or the Monet Museum.

However, the cards are only worth getting if you can visit at least 3-4 sights per day.

Paris City Pass

This card is probably the best value for money. It is operated by Turbopass and the price of the card includes:

  • Access to nearly 40 museums and galleries.
  • Access to the Arc de Triomphe and other monuments
  • One free cruise on the Seine
  • Free public transport around Paris (zones 1-3)
  • Discount coupons for shopping in shops

Prices

Purchase your card online at the official website: turbopass.com/paris-city-pass for full details.

2 days 3 days 4 days 5 days 6 days

The Paris Pass and Paris Passlib'

The other two tourist passes are more expensive and de facto the only extra thing they offer is a free ride on the red Hop on Hop off tourist buses.

The question here is whether this benefit is enough to pay a little extra when classic public transport is included anyway.

  • The Paris Pass works out for 2 days for adults at 159 eur (other days the price increases accordingly)
  • The Paris Passlib' works out to 2 days for adults at 169 eur (other days the price increases accordingly)

For more information, visit The Paris Pass and Paris Passlib' websites.

Go City Paris

This tourist card is the least convenient because it does not include free public transport for the same price as the Paris City Pass above.

Paris Museum Pass

If you're not interested in attractions like boat rides on the Seine, discount coupons or free public transport and want to make the most of your time visiting museums, consider buying the Paris Museum Pass, which entitles you to free entry to over 50 museums across Paris.

You can buy it online at the official website: parismuseumpass.fr/.

The prices are as follows:

  • 2 days - 62 eur
  • 4 days - 77 eur
  • 6 days. 92 eur

Children and students under 25 years of age have a free card upon presentation of their ISIC card. There is no need to get one at all, as the vast majority of museums also have free admission for under 25s.
