Petit Palais

Petit Palais

Like the opposite and much larger Grand Palais, the Petit Palais was built as one of the main exhibition halls for the 1900 World Expo.

The building is arranged around a semi-circular garden and boasts a magnificent portal around the main entrance with Ionic columns also arranged around the façade.

The garden with benches and outdoor and indoor cafes is beautiful.

Museum and galleries

Today it is a gallery and art museum with collections from antiquity to the late 19th century.

The Petit Palais usually hosts temporary and travelling exhibitions and, thanks to its small space, it will take you about 30 minutes to visit.

We definitely recommend a visit to the Petit Palais, if only for the beautiful spaces and architecture.

Entrance fees and opening hours

It is always open from Tuesday to Sunday 10:00-18:00. The Petit Palais remains closed on Mondays.

Admission is free for all, but it also hosts exceptional temporary exhibitions, which are already charged. For more information, visit the official website: petitpalais.paris.fr.
