One of the most sought-after destinations in Cyprus, Ayia Napa (sometimes also Agia Napa) offers beautiful beaches, dozens of clubs, concerts, a water park or a boat trip.

Hotels and accommodation Ayia Napa

It is possible to book a large number of organised boat trips where you can go to see dolphins, for example. For couples in love, we recommend a visit to the harbour or a visit to the Love Bridge, which juts out between the cliffs. Another option is to visit the amusement park, where you can enjoy, for example, the view from the Ferris wheel.

Beaches and swimming

The rugged coastline around Ayia Napa offers beaches of fine , light sand for over 8km around the resort. The beaches are divided here and there by photogenic rocks and all surrounded by a full range of facilities in the form of bars, restaurants, sunbed hire and a wide range of water sports. What beaches to visit in Ayia Napa?

  • Nissi Beach - One of the most famous beaches in Cyprus and the whole Mediterranean, it offers ideal conditions for families during the day and for partying late into the night. The beach is the largest in terms of space of all the beaches around Ayia Napa and we have written a specific mini guide for it.
  • Pantachou Beach - The beach is right in the centre of the town and is, among other things, the most easily accessible by public transport. Pantachou is the best beach for families with children because of its proximity to the centre and the very shallow sea. After Nissi, this beach is the most visited and busiest in the whole area.
  • Agia Thekla Beach - The westernmost of the beaches in the resort is suitable for those who do not like crowds. It is quiet even in the high season, especially because of its remoteness from the main hinterland. However, even here you can take advantage of all the necessary beach services.
  • Makronissos Beach - A beautiful beach connecting a small peninsula with the mainland so that you can swim from both sides of this 70 meter long beach. On the small peninsula you can visit the archaeological site of a burial ground from the ancient period. Makronissos Beach is a spacious beach and we have written our own mini guide for it.
  • Landa Beach - A smaller, nicely landscaped beach between Nissi and Makronissos ideal for a quieter day out
  • Sandy Bay (Vathia Gonia) - The beautiful horseshoe-shaped beach lies in a narrow shallow bay protected from the waves from the open sea. It has the best conditions for snorkeling and is one of the busiest beaches in Ayaia Napa
  • Pernera Beach - a small beach surrounded by a palm grove halfway between the centre of Ayia Napa and Nissi Beach. Perfect for a quiet afternoon with a book away from the main action.
  • Kermia Beach - The most easterly quiet beach about 4 km from Ayia Napa attracts those who like a peaceful quiet environment with the facilities of a hotel resort right on the beach.
