Transportation from Tuzla Airport

Tuzla

Tuzla Airport is not directly connected to public transport and the easiest way to get to the centre is by taxi or rental car.

Taxi

The price of taxis from the airport to anywhere in the centre of Tuzla is fixed at 30 BAM.

Any higher price means the taxi driver is trying to stretch you. You can only pay in cash and there are plenty of taxis both at the airport and all over Tuzla.

Car rental

A good option if you want to explore the Bosnian countryside is to rent a car directly at the airport, where several large international rental companies are based. Prices for 4-day rentals in Tuzla are around 50 eur.

Bus to Tuzla

There is no public transport directly to the airport, but you can use the suburban bus service from the village 800 metres away.

The nearest bus stop is in the village of Dubrave Gornje about 20 minutes walk from the terminal in front of the post office (exact location on en.mapy.cz).

The bus line number 11 passes through here and runs approximately once every 2 hours to the centre of Tuzla. It runs through the town from the intercity bus station to the Istok bus station).

The ticket costs 4,50 BAM at the driver and is payable in exact cash only.

When travelling from Tuzla, take line number 11 towards Kalesija. The timetable can be found on the website of the operator GIPS Tuzla: gipstk.com/11-tuzla-kalesija.

Departure times are always given only from the terminal. So when travelling from the airport, look for the right-hand column under the heading "Povratak", from where the journey to Dubrava takes about 15-20 minutes. When travelling from the centre of Tuzla, look at the left-hand column for departure times from Istok station, from which it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the centre of Tuzla.

Bus to Sarajevo

If you are heading straight to Sarajevo, you will most often use the Centrotrans bus service from the centre of Tuzla.

The line to Sarajevo runs roughly once every hour to hour and a half, the journey takes over 3 hours and tickets cost 27 bam.

You can find timetables and buy tickets on the company's website: centrotrans.com
