Transportation from Trieste Airport

Trieste

Trieste Airport is an intermodal hub where many bus lines cross, in addition to air transport, and there is also a railway station where regional and long-distance trains stop.

Train - direction Trieste, Venice

The railway station is located about 300 metres from the terminal and is reached by a covered pedestrian bridge.

Use the trains for the fastest way to Trieste, Udine, Venice (Mestre), Monfalcone, Portogruare and long-distance connections further afield to Italy (Milan, Verona, Turin, Bologna, Rome and many more).

For the cheapest price, it is advisable to buy long-distance tickets online at least 14 days in advance.

Trenitalia trains (all regional and most long-distance trains) and Italo trains (long-distance trains to Venice and Bologna) stop at the airport.

You can also compare and buy tickets from both carriers at no extra charge via thetrainline.com.
