Transfer at Tenerife South Airport

Tenerife

Tenferife-Sur Airport has one terminal with a single ground floor in the public area. The larger part of the roughly 400-metre-long building is used for departures. A smaller section on the far left, as seen from the outside, is reserved for arrivals.

The terminal remains open 24 hours a day.

The airport building is very modern, spacious and the signage is very clear.

The separation between Schengen and non-Schengen flights takes place behind a single common security checkpoint. Departure gates A1-A7, B9-B10 and C35-C40 are behind passport control and are only allocated for departures to non-Schengen countries.

Transfer between flights

Tenerife is not a typical transfer airport, nor can you make a direct transfer without leaving the transit zone.

You always have to go past the baggage belts outside, walk from the departure lounge and through security back to the transit area.
