Transfer at Stavanger Airport

Preikestolen

Stavanger Sola Airport has only one terminal common to all flights. The building is compact, modern and very clean.

Orientation is easy. After check-in, there's a central security checkpoint that will lead you to the departure area for departures to the Schengen area and around Norway. From here, a short corridor leads to another area after passport control, where the departure gates for non-Schengen flights are.

It takes about 5 minutes to walk through the entire airport.

Transfer between flights

Stavanger is a frequent transfer point from international and domestic flights to other domestic flights within Norway.

Norwegian regional airline Wideroe has one of its smaller hubs in Stavanger and serves a large number of smaller and larger Norwegian cities from here.

The connection is well signposted and as long as you have a boarding pass for the connecting flight and automatically checked baggage to your destination, you don't have to leave the transit area.

The minimum transfer time is 35 minutes, but in practice you can get from plane to plane in less than 20 minutes.

Schengen -> Schengen

When you fly from a destination in Norway or any destination in the Schengen area and fly back to Schengen or Norway, you do not go through any checks.

Follow the "Connecting Flights" signs and you will walk straight from the aircraft to the departure gate area.

Non-Schengen

If you are transferring from a non-Schengen country to a domestic flight within Norway or to a Schengen country, you must go through passport and security control.

Otherwise, you only go through passport control.
