Rent a car

There are no well-known car rental companies operating on Saba, only small local companies.

The only car rental company with its own website is called Morgan Car Rental. A clear online booking system with up-to-date car availability can be found at: icssaba.com/car-rental.

You must book your car in advance. There is no counter at the airport, but if you book online, a rental car employee will be waiting for you upon arrival with your rental car.

Prices start at 55 usd for the smallest car.

Taxi

There are approximately 10 taxis on Saba. Usually there are no taxis waiting at the airport upon arrival and they will only come to the terminal after a prior phone order.

Phone numbers for all taxi drivers can be found on the official website sabatourism.com/getting-around.

The fare is always for 2 people travelling together. For each additional person there is an additional charge from 4 usd to 7 usd depending on the distance.

Taxi prices are fixed by local ordinance and the price is not negotiable.

  • Windwardside - 15 usd
  • The Bottom - 22 usd
  • Harbour (Fort Bay) - 26 usd
  • Zion's Hill - 12 usd

Hitchhiking

Hitchhiking is very common on Saba by tourists and if a passing car has a free space, in 90% of cases it will stop and bring you closer to your destination for free.

On foot

Hiking is one of the main activities that tourists head to Saba for.

From the airport, you can walk along the road to Zion's Hill, where beautiful walking trails lead to the highest mountain, Mount Scenery, and other places. However, the walk along the road is relatively uneventful and leads very steeply uphill.

Near the airport, however, an interesting trail begins Spring Bay-Trail (en.mapy.cz) winding steeply down and up along the dramatic coastline to the village of Windwarside.
