Internet and wi-fi

Unlimited free wi-fi is available throughout the airport. Connect to the "VINCI Airports" network.

If you use an EU country sim card, you can make calls and use data in Portugal at the same prices as in your home country.

Otherwise, get a data e-sim quickly and easily at airalo.com.

Shops and supermarkets

There is no supermarket or grocery store at the airport.

Other shops concentrate on selling duty-free goods, local souvenirs or clothing, especially after security checks. However, the prices are very high (about double those of regular shops outside the airport).

In the public area there is a Vodafone mobile phone operator stand, a luggage shop, a newsagent with printed materials, postcards and travel equipment or a souvenir shop.

Dining options

Restaurants here take the form of small snack bars and cafes. One snack bar can be found in the public area and two behind the security checkpoint.

The first bistro opens at 5:00 am, and the last cafes in the transit zone close at 10:00 pm.

Luggage storage

Baggage storage at Ponta Delgada Airport is currently not in operation.

ATMs and currency exchange offices

The Unicambio exchange office in the public area offers extremely unfavourable exchange rates, as does the Euronet ATM at the baggage claim belts.

In the arrivals hall, you can withdraw euros conveniently from a Santander ATM.

Post Office

You will find a branch of the Portuguese Post Office in the arrivals hall. It is open on weekdays 9:30-12:30 and 14:30-17:30.

Outside opening hours, you can at least buy a stamp from the machine and send home a postcard, for example.
