Buses

Currently, only special Umbria AirLink buses run to the airport. Details can be found on the website: fsbusitalia.it/umbria-airlink.

The timetable is set according to the flight schedule and the buses stop at the following stops:

  • Perugia - main train station
  • Perugia - Piazza Partigiani (lower cable car station)
  • Perugia - Piazza Italia (upper cable car station and historic centre)
  • Assisi - train station
  • Assisi - San Francesco (centre)
  • Assisi - Piazza Matteotti (bus station)

The journey to Perugia Station takes 17 minutes, while the journey to the centre takes 40 minutes.

Assisi can be reached by bus in 30 minutes.

Tickets

A ticket for all destinations (Perugia and Assisi) costs €5.

Tickets can be purchased from the driver (cash and card payments are possible), at the Busitalia office at Fontivegge Bus Station in Perugia or at selected newsagents.

Online tickets are available on the Salgo mobile app.

Continuing directly from the airport by train further out of Perugia, tickets for Umbria AirLink buses and the connecting Trenitalia train can be purchased as a single ticket at Trenitalia vending machines at train stations or on trenitalia.com.

Car rental

A car is the best way to explore the rural parts of Umbria.

There are several international and local car rental companies in the arrivals hall. Average weekly rental prices start at 250 eur.

Taxi

Bolt, Uber and other mobile apps do not operate in Perugia.

There are official taxis waiting outside the terminal for every arrival. Prices are flat and to the destinations listed are fixed regardless of the exact distance.

  • Perguia (centre and station): 30 eur
  • Assisi: 30 eur
