The Nantes Airport terminal is served by the express and more expensive "NA" bus line, as well as by the normal fare line 38.

Car rental services are also available.

Warning. There is no public transport to the airport on 1 May. Bus lines 38, NA and 98 do not run at all on this day.

Bus 38 + tram

The cheapest way to get to the centre of Nantes is to take a combination of bus line 38 and tram or other buses.

  • At the "Pirmil" stop there is a transfer from the bus to tram lines 2 and 3 (about 5 minutes faster option)
  • At the stop "Greneraie" there is a transfer from the bus to the bus line 4

In total, the journey from the airport to the city centre (stop "Commerce") takes between 35 and 40 minutes.

  • Bus frequency - 15 to 17 minutes on weekdays / 30 minutes on Saturday / 60 minutes on Sunday
  • Tram frequency - 2 to 5 minutes on weekdays / 5-10 minutes on weekends
  • Last bus from the airport with tram connection - 23:11
  • First bus to the airport (from Pirmil stop) - 5:41, on Sundays only at 6:35

You don't need any special airport fare for this combination, but you can make do with the regular tickets valid for all buses and trams in Nantes (except the NA line).

All tickets are transferable.

  • 1 hour - EUR 1.80
  • 24 hours - EUR 6,40
  • 24 hours (group for 4 people) - 12 EUR
  • Public transport is free at weekends (except for the NA line)

Tickets can be purchased at the Relay kiosk in the public area of the departure hall, from vending machines at all tram stops or online via the Tan Naolib mobile app (available on: Google Play / App Store).

Bus "Navette Aéroport"

There is a special "la Navette Aéroport" bus service, known as NA, to the centre of Nantes to the Gare SNCF - Accès Sud train station.

This service is the fastest transport from the centre to the airport.

Regular tickets are not valid on the NA line, but a special fare is charged. 10 eur for a single journey. On the Navette Aéroport line, there is no free transport on weekends.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket machine at the bus stop, at the Relay newsagent or via the Tan Naolib mobile app (available on Google Play / App Store).

Car rental

To travel through the French countryside or tour the châteaux on the Loire, a car will be the most flexible means of transport.

Many large multinational car rental companies are based right in the terminal.

Taxi

In Nantes, you can take advantage of regular taxis and rides via the Uber mobile app.

Even in a regular taxi, you can pay by card without any problems. Every ride is always with the meter on.

To the city centre, you can pay normally between 25 eur and 30 eur depending on the distance.
