Shops and supermarkets

Miami Airport has a large number of shops, the vast majority of which are located after security.

The transit area is effectively a large shopping mall with duty free shops, upscale fashion boutiques, book, electronics, candy and souvenir stores.

Popular Air Essentials shops are located in many locations throughout the airport. Here you can purchase travel essentials such as basic medicines and medical supplies, chargers, headphones, pads or luggage.

Quick "to-go" snacks can be purchased at many Hudson News or Miami News Connection locations. These minimarkets are located throughout the transit area.

Where can I buy drinks and fast food after I arrive? There is only one Hudson News branch in the public area: the arrivals area, Concourse E.

Restaurants

You can choose from a wide variety of restaurants, fast-food outlets, cafés or bars in the transit area. The facilities in the public area of the airport are a little poorer.

There are well-known chains such as Burger King, Subway, KFC, TGI Friday's, Dunkin' Donuts or Pizza Hut Express. The vast majority of branches are open between 5:00-22:00.

There are only two restaurants in the entire airport that are open 24/7:

  • Dunkin' - Public Area, Central Terminal, Concourse F, Departures
  • Subway - public area, central terminal, concourse E, departures

Luggage storage

The baggage room is open daily from 5:00-21:00 and is located in the public area of the Central Terminal, Concourse E.

All-day storage costs from 11 usd to 22 usd depending on the size of your luggage.

ATMs and exchange offices

Cash can be withdrawn from dozens of ATMs located in the public and transit areas.

Only ICE Currency Exchange operates currency exchange offices at Miami Airport, with very unfavourable rates.

Drinking water

You can refill your own bottle with free cold drinking water at several locations after security:

  • Central Terminal, Concourse E, immediately after security.
  • South Terminal, H-J Connector
  • Central Terminal, Gate F8
  • Central Terminal, Gate G6
  • South Terminal, Gate J7
  • North Terminal, Gate D20

Smoking Rooms

Smoking is permitted in designated areas outside the terminal.

There is only one smoking area in the transit area after security near Gate D36.
