Hotels and sleeping at Miami Airport

Miami

Miami Airport is a frequent transit point for travel between Europe and Latin America and operates throughout the night. For an early morning flight or just a 1-2 day stay in Miami before travelling onwards, we recommend staying at one of the many hotels around the airport.

Prices here are lower than comparable hotels downtown and you'll pay between 90 usd and 200 usd per night in a 2-bed room, which is slightly below average for Miami.

Hotels right in the terminal

If you don't want to deal with any transfers, there is a single hotel in the area called Councourse E right by the terminal Miami International Airport Hotel ***.

It's a 15-minute walk from all parts of the airport. Its relatively poor rating mainly reflects the high prices starting at 200 usd per night and the older facilities, which have however been significantly refurbished in recent years.

Hotels near the MIA Mover

The best value for money hotels are those located near the Miami Airport Central transit station, which can be reached by the automated MIA Mover train every 2-4 minutes. The train has a journey time of 3 minutes and from its terminus you can walk to the hotels in 5-8 minutes. In addition, all hotels listed here offer their own free shuttle service directly to the terminal, but it is usually faster to use the MIA Mover.

Rates for these hotels range between 120 usd and 190 usd per night.

Cheaper hotels near the airport (free transportation)

Hotels with prices ranging from 80 usd to 180 usd can be found around the airport, most of which offer free hotel shuttle vans that take you directly from/to the terminal, no need to use the automated MIA Mover.

Follow the signs for "Courtesy Shuttles" or "Hotel Shuttles". However, it's a good idea to consider that these free shuttles usually only run once every half hour.

We only list cheap hotels under 120 usd per night with free private transportation.
