Luggage storage

Luggage lockers are available at both terminals. Opening hours are 24/7.

  • Terminal 1 - Arrivals Hall, Level 3, Public Area
  • Terminal 2 - Arrivals Hall, Level 2, public area

You will pay for all-day storage depending on the size of your luggage from 30 myr to 50 myr.

Shops and supermarket

Shops selling duty free goods, fashion, electronics, souvenirs and travel accessories can be found mainly in the area after security.

In general, KLIA is very well equipped. Terminal 1 serves as a huge shopping arcade for luxury goods. Facilities at Terminal 2 are much poorer and concentrate more on basic travel essentials and shops duty free.

Travelers often look for grocery stores and fast food takeaways.

  • 7 Eleven: Terminal 1, public area, level 5, open 24/7
  • 7 Eleven: Terminal 1, Public Area, Level 2, 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

  • E-Xpress Mart: Terminal 1, public section, arrivals, open 24/7

Pharmacies are also useful before departure or after arrival if needed. You can find them at the following locations:

Restaurant

Dining options are ubiquitous in both terminals. More restaurants operate after security, but you'll find plenty of outlets in the public area as well.

The airport has well-known chains such as KFC, McDonald's, Costa Coffee, Starbucks, Subway and Burger King. There are large food courts with many eateries serving local cuisine as well as upscale bars.

Many restaurants remain open 24/7.

Showers

Showers are available to all passengers at the Sama-Sama Transit Hotel with no accommodation required.

The price for a shower including towel rental is 32 myr.

Sama-Sama branches can be found at the following locations:

  • Terminal 1 - Satellite Building (after security check).
  • Terminal 2 - Satellite Building (after security check)

ATMs and currency exchange offices

Only Travelex operates a traditional exchange office at Terminal 2 with very unfavourable exchange rates. Terminal 1 also has branches of regular Malaysian banks with much better rates than Travelex.

In addition to the exchange offices, there are dozens of ATMs from various local banks located in both arrival and departure halls in both terminals.

So you can withdraw money at literally every corner.

Changing rooms

Special rooms for parents with young children can be found in selected toilets in each terminal. Always only after a security check.

You'll find baby-changing counters and breastfeeding areas in discreet, enclosed rooms that are accessible free of charge 24/7.

Smoking rooms

Smoking after security check is allowed in special ventilated rooms found in both terminals.
