Sleeping in the terminal - opening hours
The public area of Kaunas Terminal is open 24/7. You can go through security up to about 1.5 hours before your first departure.
Sleeping in the terminal is not very comfortable as the building is very cramped and the seats on the 1st floor, which are without backrests, can be occupied quite early in the evening by travellers who have decided to spend the night at the airport.
Hotels near the airport
There are several accommodations within comfortable walking distance.
- Air Hotel *** - Modern hotel directly opposite the terminal (1-2 minutes walk), 24/7 reception
- Air Kaunas - small older hotel with simple clean rooms 800 metres from the terminals, reception until 23:30, later self-service check-in is possible using a code sent by the hotel on the day of arrival
Hotels in Kaunas city centre
You can stay significantly cheaper and with a great choice of quality hotels and student hostels in central Kaunas.
For early morning departures or last evening arrivals, only taxis can be used.
