Internet and wi-fi

While wi-fi is officially free, you most likely won't be able to connect with a foreign sim card.

This is because you need to enter your phone number to receive a confirmation text with a password. However, messages are not sent to foreign phone numbers.

If you are staying at the airport for a long time, make sure you download enough films, TV shows or other entertainment to your laptop or mobile phone in advance.

Don't delay your arrival by buying a physical sim card. Get a Saudi data e-sim quickly and easily on the web airalo.com.

Luggage storage

You'll find a luggage storage room open 24/7 in the arrivals hall of the airport. You will pay around 75 sar for a full day's storage.

Shops and supermarkets

For its size, the shops facilities are rather poor. In the public areas of all terminals you will come across a few shops selling snacks, books or travel essentials.

You can also buy takeaway snacks from the well-known WHSmith chain in the arrivals hall of the public section.

After the security check in the international and domestic section, you will again come across several mini-markets with food, a few fashion or jewellery shops and a large duty free shop.

Restaurants

Dining options are widespread in the public and transit areas of all terminals. Most restaurants remain open 24/7 due to all-night operations.

In the public area, you will find, for example, local fast-food Albaik or shawarma shops and many smaller cafes and bakeries, but also fast-food places like Subway or Dunkin' Donuts.

In the international part of the transit zone there is a big food-court with local restaurants and international fast food places like Sbarro, Smashburger or Domino' s Pizza. In the direction of the departure gates you will find many smaller cafes or bakeries.

The domestic part of the transit zone features McDonald's and Starbucks fast food outlets and many smaller local cafés.

ATMs and exchange offices

ATMs from local banks are ubiquitous in all terminals and work easily for foreign cards. The withdrawal fee is around 10 sar.

Exchange offices at the airport are provided at current rates by branches of Saudi banks.

Drinking water

After the security checkpoint, you will also find a drinking water fountain by each toilet, from which you can fill your own bottle free of charge.
