Transportation from Harstad Narvik Airport

Lofoten

How often do buses run to the airport and how much does it cost to rent a car?

Car rental

Harstad Narvik Evenes Airport is a popular starting point for road-trips around the Lofoten Islands, so a car is the most common and practically the only relevant form of transport.

Several international car rental companies such as Avis, Sixt, Alamo, Enterprise and Budget operate right in the terminal. You can compare the prices of all rental companies clearly on booking.com.

Weekly rental prices vary greatly depending on the season, but also on the timeliness of the booking. Especially during summer travel, we recommend booking at least 3-4 months in advance.

The average price for renting a smaller car for a week is around 500 eur.

Car rental counters are located immediately next to the luggage belt.

Local car rental companies based in the towns or in Lofoten usually have higher prices than those at Evenes Airport.

Buses

The airport is also served by special Flybussen buses as well as the regular regional services of the 200 and 300 lines.

Flybussen

Flybussen buses are considerably more expensive than the 200/300 lines, but run much more frequently.

Currently you can use 3 Flybussen lines:

  • FB80 - direction Harstad (222 nok)
  • FB81 - direction Lødingen (258 nok) and Sortland (411 nok)
  • FB82 - direction Bjerkvik and Narvik (329 nok)

Line FB85 in the direction of Lofoten (Svolvær) has been cancelled.

The timetable on all routes is adapted to flight traffic and follows all flights to/from Oslo.

For exact times and to buy tickets online, please visit: flybussen.no. You can also buy tickets from the driver by card.

Lines 200, 300

Regular bus lines also come to the terminal and are the cheapest form of transport. The buses stop at the airport at the sign "Flybussen 1", but there is no timetable or indication that line 200 or 300 stops at this point.

The best way to find timetables is to visit reisnordland.com/travel-planner and to purchase tickets via the Reis mobile app (available on Google Play / App Store). Tickets can also be purchased from the driver at an additional cost 20 nok, where you can pay with cash or card.

Search for the airport under "Harstad Narvik lufthavn Evenes".
