Internet and wi-fi

Wi-fi is available unlimited and free of charge. Connect to the "Hamburg Airport Free Wifi" network.

Luggage storage

Baggage storage is located in Terminal 2 in the departures area. For a one-day service, you will pay from 5 eur to 10 eur depending on the size of your luggage.

It is open daily from 4:30-21:00.

Shops and supermarket

The EDEKA supermarket is located in the central lobby of the public area. It is open daily from 6:00-22:00.

The pharmacy is open in the public area with opening hours 8:00-19:00.

Shopping options in the public area are also represented by mainly book shops, magazines and newsagents, but you can also use the flower shop.

After passing through security, there are several duty free shops as well as a larger number of fashion, jewellery and watch shops.

Dining options

Hamburg Airport has a wide range of restaurants, bistros and fast-food outlets.

There are, for example, the well-known McDonald's and Starbucks brands, many local restaurants and eateries and, of course, several cafés.

In the public area you will find rather cheaper cafes or just McDonald's and Starbucks, while after the security check there are usually more expensive restaurants and eateries (e.g. Marché Mövenpick).

No restaurant is open 24 hours a day. Closing time is usually between 9pm and 2am and opens around 5am.

Showers

You can use the showers located in the central part of the terminal "Airport Plaza" in the public area for 10 eur (including shampoo). The price does not include a towel, this can be paid for at an additional 10 eur.

Look for the "Hamburg Welcome Center" counter.

ATMs and exchange offices

The exchange offices at the airport are operated by "EC" with very unfavourable exchange rates.

However, there are a large number of ATMs of regular German banks located throughout the airport, from which you can safely withdraw money with foreign cards.

Drinking water

Fountains with cold drinking water, from which you can fill your own bottle free of charge, are located throughout the airport in both the public and transit areas.
