The airport has a typical American "horseshoe" terminal layout, with a total of 4 terminals designated T1, T2, T3 and T4. You will always find the departure terminal marked on your ticket.
The terminals are divided by airline.
- Terminal 1 - also referred to as the "Yellow Terminal" and contains departure gates A, B, C
- Air Canada (Quebec City only), Alaska, Allegiant, Bahamasair, Frontier, Silver, Southwest, United, Western Air
- Terminal 2 - also referred to as the "Red Terminal" and contains departure gates D
- Air Canada (all destinations except Quebec City), Delta, WestJet
- Terminal 3 - also referred to as the "Purple Terminal" and contains departure gates E, F
- American, Avelo, Azul, Flair, JetBlue, Sun Country
- Terminal 4 - also referred to as the "Green Terminal" and contains departure gates G
- Air Transat, Avianca, Caribbean, Copa, Norse, Spirit

All international arrivals are handled in Terminals 1 or 4.
Transfer between terminals
Terminals 1 and 2 are interconnected by a connecting corridor through the transit area.
It is then possible to walk between all terminals on the public sidewalk within 10 minutes.
Special free airport buses run 24/7 between all terminals and the rental car building. They run approximately every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes at night. Look for the stops under the name "Courtesy Shuttles".
Transfer between flights
For domestic transfers, you don't need to leave the transit area if you are transferring within a terminal or from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 or vice versa.
When transferring from an international flight to a domestic or other international flight, you must always go through immigration, collect your baggage, find the next terminal and check your bag again.
For this reason, even if you are just transferring through FLL, you must obtain an ESTA entry permit (for 21 usd online, visit the official website: esta.cbp.dhs.gov).
