Faro Algarve Airport is served by a single terminal common to all departures and arrivals.

Cheap hotels near Faro Airport

The building is modern, spacious and very clear. Faro is one of the most user-friendly airports and even in high season there is plenty of seating after security check.

A central security checkpoint leads to all departures. Departure gates for departures to the Schengen area are open to all passengers, while departure gates to non-Schengen countries are after passport control.

Transfer between flights

Faro is not a transfer airport and airlines rarely offer guaranteed transfers here.

This is also why the airport does not have a direct transit option. If you combine a transfer in Faro on your own, you always have to go out, check in again and go through security back to the transit area.
