Cheap hotels near Bucharest Airport

Internet and wi-fi

Unlimited free wi-fi is available throughout the airport.

Luggage storage

Luggage storage service is not available. There are also no automatic luggage lockers in the terminal.

Shops and supermarkets

There is a Carrefour supermarket in the arrivals hall of the domestic terminal, open 24/7.

Other shops are available mainly after security check and are mainly duty free shops, souvenir shops or liquor shops.

In general (apart from duty free shops) shopping options at Bucharest Airport are very limited.

There is also a pharmacy in the connecting corridor between the arrivals and departures hall (public area), open 8:00-21:00.

ATMs and exchange offices

Where to get Romanian lei upon arrival?

There are several exchange offices around the airport, but they don't offer very good rates.

A generally more convenient option is to withdraw money from the ATMs located in the arrivals hall. You can use the following ATMs:

  • Raiffeisen
  • Euronet (not recommended)
  • Exchange (not recommended)

Smoke shops

After security check, you will find enclosed ventilated smoking rooms in both the domestic and international sections.

Drinking water

There are no drinking water fountains at the airport and the water from the sinks in the toilets is not potable. After security, you can only buy drinks in restaurants or fast food outlets.
