Internet and wi-fi

Wi-fi works smoothly in the public area, but less well in the transit area. It is unlimited and free.. Connect to the "OpenWiFi_NQZ" network.

Don't bother buying a physical sim card on arrival. Get a Kazakhstani data e-sim easily and quickly on the web airalo.com.

Shops and supermarket

In the arrivals hall of Terminal 2, you'll benefit from a handy Galmart grocery supermarket open 9:00-23:00 every day.

Other shopping options are limited to shops selling typical airport duty free goods or local souvenirs.

There is also a pharmacy open 24/7 in the public area of Terminal 2.

Dining options

Astana Airport has a wide selection of cafes, simple restaurants and bars. There is more choice after security and prices here are up to several times the normal prices in Kazakhstan.

Well-known brands include Starbucks and Segafredo, and Pizzeria Del Gusto.

Most cafes and restaurants remain open 24/7.

ATMs and exchange offices

There are several currency exchange offices in the arrivals hall of the international terminal with relatively good exchange rates. The Kazakh tenge is usually the most advantageous to exchange with the euro.

In addition to the exchange offices, there are literally dozens of ATMs of all major Kazakh banks scattered throughout the airport, which also operate international credit cards.

Luggage storage

Luggage storage can be found in both terminals, always on the 1st floor. Both branches are open 24/7.

The price for 1-3 days of storage is 1 800 kzt and payment can only be made in cash.

Smoking rooms

Ventilated smoking rooms are available in both terminals even after passing through security.
