Winair check-in

Winair, Twin Otter, Saba Airport

Winair is one of the classic network carriers and also offers free check-in at the airport.

Check-in at the airport

Airport check-in is offered free of charge at all airports served by Winair. Counter opening and closing times vary by airport. For example, at Winair's home airport, St. Martin SXM, the counters open 2 hours before departure, while at smaller airports the counters usually open 90 minutes before departure.

Check-in closes 45 minutes before departure at Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Bartholomew and St. Martin airports. At all other airports, the counter closes 60 minutes before departure.

Online check-in

You can check in from the comfort of your home via your computer or mobile phone at winair.sx.

Check-in opens 24 hours before departure, but you must print your boarding pass on paper. If you are unable to print, you can check in at the airport free of charge.

Seat selection

There is always a charge for selecting a specific seat on the aircraft, but this only applies to ATR42 flights. These aircraft fly on routes to Aruba or Curacao, for example.

Seat selection costs 5 usd and if you skip this option, you will be assigned a random seat for free.

If you are flying on a Twin Otter (for example, flights to St. Barth, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Tortola, etc.), seat selection is not possible, as on these flights the so-called free seating is practiced.

This means that a specific seat is not assigned even at check-in and you can sit anywhere you want on the plane. The earlier you board the plane, the more choice of seats you will have.
