Architecture enthusiasts head to the southern suburb of Hyde Park to visit Robie House.
At first glance, the unremarkable brick house is one of the most perfect examples of the distinctive 'Prairie Style', the first purely American architectural movement. Robie House has even been nominated for UNESCO listing.
Built between 1909 and 1910 by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the mansion's interior serves as a small museum.
Admission and opening hours
The interior of Robie House is open to the public Thursday through Monday from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. It remains closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Entry is by guided tour only and there are several tours available.

- 75 usd - complete guided tour (90 minutes)
