Hua Hin is more of a resort for Thais heading here for weekends from concrete Bangkok. For you, it will be an ideal stopover when wandering on between Bangkok and the south of the country.

Here you will find the oldest and perfectly preserved railway station with a royal saloon, beautiful national parks, vineyards and several kilometres of coastline, which, however, is not the idyllic thing to expect from Thailand. I recommend a day trip to the Phraya Nakhon Cave temple near Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.
