World of Volvo

World of Volvo, Gothenburg

The multifunctional and experiential centre Wolrd of Volvo can be found on the southern edge of the city centre. The joint project of Volvo Cars and Volvo Group is intended to be a place of meeting, education and entertainment.

The building covers an area of 22,000m2 and is built in a typical Scandinavian style. It is an architectural gem inside and out.

The main exhibition will mainly offer the history, present and future of Volvo cars, including other technically oriented examples.

Volvo Museum

The Volvo brand is intrinsically linked to Gothenburg, where it was founded in 1927. Originally, the company had its iconic museum in an industrial zone in the northwestern suburbs. But that was closed down and the specimens moved here to World of Volvo.

What can you find here? Historic cars, sports cars, buses, planes, engines, three-point belts,... everything that belongs to Volvo.

Please allow 1 to 2 hours for your visit.

How to get here

World of Volvo is located near the Liseberg theme park.

The best option is to take tram line 2 or 4 to the Liseberg Södra stop, which is a few metres from the entrance to the exhibition centre.

You can also take tram lines 5, 6, 8, 10 and 13 to the Gothenburg Korsvagen stop, which is less than 1 kilometre from the centre.
