Mirador del Rio

The Mirador del Río viewpoint is one of the most popular stops in Lanzarote. Located on the northern edge of the majestic Famara cliffs, it overlooks the arid volcanic-desert landscape of northern Lanzarote and the island of La Graciosa.

A man-made stone walkway with railings on the edge of a 450-metre-high sheer cliff is located at the very end of the Famara Mountains and was named after the narrow strait between Lanzarote and La Graciosa Island, which is nicknamed "Río", meaning river.

Here you will find a small cafe in addition to a car park. Entrance to the viewpoint is charged at a 8 eur and official information can be found on the website: cactlanzarote.com/mirador-del-rio.

How to get there

Mirador del Río is located at the end of the LZ-202 road, which turns off from the village of Yé and is about 40 km from Lanzarote airport. It can only be reached by car, with the nearest bus stop, number 26, located 4 km away.
