La Caletta

La Caletta

The small town of La Caletta is a hidden treasure of Sardinian beach holidays. The small, quiet resort lies on the east coast and is lined with long beaches to the north and south.

La Caletta offers all the facilities, restaurants, shops and beautiful surroundings covered with mature pine forests.

Beaches and swimming

Whether you head north or south from the centre of La Caletta, there's always a 4km walk along some of Sardinia's most beautiful beaches.

To the north is Spiaggia di Su Tiriarzu, while to the south is Spiaggia di La Caletta.

Both boast very fine snow-white sand and a wealth of opportunities for all. Closer to La Caletta, families with children will enjoy the beaches with their rich facilities and gentle access to the water, while further away from the centre, the more open sea will be enjoyed by kitesurfers and windsurfers, and on the outskirts by those who love peace and privacy.

Accommodation

La Caletta is not out of line with average Sardinian prices and in the high summer season, expect to pay around 120 eur per night in smaller guesthouses and from 120 eur per night for 2 in a classic hotel.

Transportation

La Caletta lies just off the main SS125 road about 51km south of Olbia. Both beaches have several large pay parking lots (around 7 eur per day).

There are bus stops in the town centre, but not along the beaches. However, you can walk to the main parts of the beach within 10 minutes from the bus. For timetables to specific towns in the list below, click on the number/name of the line:
