Toroni is a small village on the southern edge of the Sithonia peninsula, surrounded by green hills and beautiful quiet beaches. If you head further south by car, you'll enjoy a dramatic coastline full of coves and spectacular views.

Toroni itself is a very pleasant village with plenty of local and not overpriced tavernas, one supermarket and a few shops selling practical beach and souvenir goods. The main advantage of Toroni is the tranquility and the beautiful swimming.

Beaches and swimming

Directly in Toroni you will find a spacious beach more than a kilometre long, covered with fine white sand, which continues to the north with Destenika and Tristinika beaches, which are even more peaceful.

The common denominator of all three beaches is the crystal clear azure sea with a gradual entrance, but from 100 metres from the shore the bottom drops sharply downwards, so swimmers will also enjoy it.

There are small rocky reefs around the edges of the beaches, where the calm water makes for excellent snorkelling conditions.

Sun lounges and umbrella rentals can be found on all beaches. There are also many restaurants right by the beach in Toroni, and only smaller beach bars and snack bars at the two Destenika and Tristinika beaches.

Accommodation in Toroni

Toroni is a destination especially for individual travellers.

Regular prices in the holiday season in apartments are around 73 eur, in the low season from 48 eur. The best rated aparthotels include Villa Miranda Roshi right in the centre of the village or Chrissi Ammoudia on the beach.

How to get to Toroni?

The resort is 128 km from Thessaloniki Airport and can be reached in less than 2 hours by car. Most of the local accommodation offers free parking and even the parking at the beaches is free. It's definitely best to head to Toroni by rental car, given the inaccessibility of the smaller beaches nearby by bus.
