One of the liveliest resorts on the Kassandra promontory, apart from frequent music events, discos and performances of famous DJs not only from Greece, it also boasts beautiful sandy beaches wider than in other resorts on this coast.

In addition to tourists, Greeks, especially young Thessalonians, come to Kallithea for entertainment.

The town of Kallithea itself is smaller but very lively with many bars, discos, tavernas and shops selling souvenirs, clothes and food. Outside the town you can then shop at the larger Lidl supermarket.

Right by the beach on the northern edge of Kallithea, don't forget to visit the nice little archaeological park called on the map as "Temple of Ammon Zeus".

Beaches and swimming

The entire coastline around the resort is surrounded by beaches with fine white sand, artificial jetties and very clean water awarded the Blue Flag of quality.

The length of the continuous beach exceeds 1 km and the width is 35 metres in some places, yet the beaches in Kaliithea are among the most visited and uncrowded.

They are surrounded by several hotels, bars and clubs as well as smaller eateries. You can rent a sunbed and umbrella at every corner and of course there is a wide range of water sports on offer.

The sea here is very calm and the entrance is very gentle. Nevertheless, Kallithea is not the best place for families with children because of the hustle and bustle and the rich nightlife, which often ends at dawn.

Accommodation Kallithea

However, a wide range of offers await individual travellers, who can save significantly compared to tours if they can find a cheap flight to Thessaloniki.

Some of the best value for money accommodation is the aparthotel ER.ZO Summer Studios in a quieter location about 250 metres from the beach with prices from 62 eur for a 2-bed apartment in high season.

Great prices for families or parties of 4 people Hotel Castelli * with prices from 66 eur in a 4-bed room. If, on the other hand, you're looking for quality hotels, you won't go wrong by booking a room in Kallithea Village Hotel ****.
