Escape the hustle and bustle of mainland resorts and towns and head to the uninhabited tiny island of Drénia with its beautiful beach, romantic tavernas and crystal clear sea.

The only larger beach on the island delights with its fine white sand and exceptionally clear sea with a very gentle entrance. The rocky surroundings make the water ideal for snorkelling, but the sandy entrance makes it safe for children.

On the beach you can use the sunbed and umbrella rental services and the tavern where you can refresh yourself. There is also a designated area for those who don't want to rent a sun lounger, which is much less crowded.

In the meantime, take a stroll around the islet and enjoy the comfort of the photogenic mini beaches in the rocky coves. The walk around the island takes about 15 minutes, as it is only 600x150 metres in size.

How to get to Drénia Island?

Regular boats leave for the island from the port of Ouranoupoli, approximately once an hour throughout the day, with a return ticket costing 10 eur. The cruise takes about 15 minutes.

On the neighbouring island of Ammouliani, you can then hire a small motorboat, for which you don't need a licence, and set off for Drenia on your own. The rental fee for the day is approximately 85 eur.
