The small and quiet resort of Murdeira is located on Beirona Beach, about halfway between the airport and Santa Maria. This tourist village consists of one large apartment resort, Murdeira Village Resort, and a long beach several kilometres long. It also includes housing for locals, restaurants and shops.

The beach has a beautiful view of Lion Mountain in the north of the island.

Beirona Beach

The local beach has a rocky substrate and the sandy entrances to the ocean are man-made. Due to its ideal location, a holiday resort was created here and access to the sea had to be adapted.

Thanks to the sheltered bay, you don't have to worry about rough ocean and big waves. The location is therefore suitable for stays with small children, whom you do not want to be constantly under surveillance with every breaking two-meter wave.

Another advantage is the fact that the local sea is lively. Grab your snorkel and go discover Cape Verde's underwater life. Don't expect a colourful show like Egypt, but you'll be surprised compared to the rest of Cape Verde.

Murdeira Hotel Resort

You'll find the only accommodation in this resort. But instead of a hotel resort with rooms, expect large apartments with kitchen and living areas. These are more like holiday cottages than hotel rooms.

The resort includes a saltwater pool with panoramic ocean views, as well as from the hotel restaurant.
