Burgas beach

Burgas Beach

The beach stretches along the entire eastern coast of the town for over 3 km, reaching up to 60 metres wide in places.

Burgas beach is the ideal place to relax after a stroll through the city, but you can also spend the day. It is completely separated from the hustle and bustle of the city by a large green hill.

Find a hotel with a sea view

In the southern part of the beach there is a popular pier with beautiful sea views, as well as a monumental monument to sailors.

Beach amenities

Due to the length of the beach, there is always more than enough space and therefore no risk of overcrowding.

The entrance to the water is very gradual and safe with fine sand and no rocks. The shallow water is still about 100 metres from the shore and the beach is ideal for families with small children.

Sun loungers and umbrellas

Sun loungers and parasols are available along the entire length of the beach and can be rented for 10 bgn / piece / day. So for a set of two sunbeds and a parasol you will pay 30 bgn.

There are always plenty of sunbeds available, even in high season. Just take any available sun lounger and the staff will look for you. Payment is in cash only.

The staff is present from 8:00 to 18:00, but the sun loungers remain free to use all night from 18:00 to 8:00.

Free sectors

Most of the beach is free to access without the need to rent a sunbed or umbrella. You will find free access sectors along the entire length of the beach.

Toilets and showers

There are no public toilets available on the beach, but you can use the toilets in the restaurants, some of which provide access even if you don't order anything from the restaurant.

Freshwater showers are usually not available, especially as most hotels are within a 10-minute walk of the beach.

Restaurants and shops

Throughout you'll find mostly small bistros and stalls right on the beach. Larger restaurants are located on the southern part of the beach near the harbour.

Water sports

The beaches in Burgas are not very rich in water sports, as there is very limited private boat traffic in the sea around the town.

Hotels by the beach

As practically the entire beach is bordered by a large park, you will find hotels at the southern end of the beach near the harbour and pier.

Here you will stay in very well rated quality hotels, which are among the best in Burgas.
